I agree that fitment is better for the Germans but the quality of their components are just lacking compared to the Jag...

actually I think the German interior is better (maybe not so much for Merc) but more in terms of the seamless fitment of the interior components. But there's a problem with that, it usually end up with squeak and creaks due to the plastic / plastic / leather rubbing. So far my XF is squeak-less although randomly I do hear some light rattling when I am stopping the car (not sure if anybody has that)

Yes I used to have occasional rattle from the lights. Brought to Wearnes and tester heard the rattling. There some wirings in there. They cable tied them and sounds went away.

i think the audi and VW interior generally more plasticky in nature.. the jag just feels that more plush..

Beemers and mercs also employ a lot of plastic... The jag, however, has minimal plastic and you see a lot of leather, wood and aluminium

Heck, the XF has a full leather dash while to get the equivalent of that in a merc, you'll have to get the S Class...

The German makes, though reliable, cannot be compared to the uniqueness and plushness of a Jag. PLEASSSEEE!

Jaguar!

Mercs are definitely the most reliable of all the German makes in my personal opinion and experience
