Yup. ... love those hokkien mee, indeed worth the wait and also becos of the leaf used, it smell great and well retain the QQ and warm.

Besides the carrot cake oster egg, can also try their satay.

Another Hokkien mee review today.

Can't recall the stall name but it's the last roll closest to carpark and highlighted on spicy chilli...

Noodle not as Q but definately for lard lover, discovered a table spoon full of lard. Pork used are fatty too.

I'll rate 6.5/10

hokkien fried prawn mee;

 not a bad choice but lor29 seem to be slightly better choice due to a little more of the old school taste....

Lai Heng
======
- Famous for both fried kuay teow and fried hokkien mee
- Been visiting them for decades while the owner was at Lake View (Upper Thomson) and often you see actors/actress from neighboring Caldecott Hill frequent there. Now Lake View has been leveled.
- Had another outlet at upper thomson, but now have many stalls in kopitiam islandwide.
- Sometimes the owner still turn out at Buangkok MRT kopitiam, so if you goes there, you may be lucky to have him personally fried the dishes.

Went to Old Hong Kong at MyVillage in Serangoon Gardens. Must say their food is great! Service not too bad either... Peking Duck was solid and the 2nd broth of duck meat is sedap!

Anybody posting any "chai tow kway"???

I like the white one because that's how you can taste the fluffiness of the carrot cake! The one at Zion road market is the best I've had by far! Now you can do a half plate of black and white combined!
