Wearnes gives me free servicing every 24k, I service on my own every 12k for less than 300bucks each time... Only 900bucks spent for sustained peace of mind that could last 3yrs... Ok lah, no meh???
I do servicing every 12k... Alternate between Wearnes and external workshop... The more frequent you service your ride, the more problem free it will be... :)
it's the same school of thought some other European car owners subscribe to, e.g. German car usual service interval is 15,000km and people would just service every 7,500km.
I read the manual, the factory already considered the local climate before determining servicing interval, e.g. for countries like China it's 12,000km instead of 24,000km.
As such, I'm not going to bother with in between servicing. that's just my own school of thoughts, for now :)

uhm.. for china i would imagine it to be their diesel quality problem.. for SG it'll probably be frequent start/stop traffic..
for most service intervals for other brands, start/stop traffic is considered severe usage and recommends twice as frequent servicing interval (i.e. 5k instead of 10k).
