go for the XFS if possible as the 3.0 V6 engine is more robust. and yes it is also quieter and faster. :) I can take you for a ride in mine.
Wearnes doesn't bring in XFS 3.0D anymore, only available preowned.
Aha.... 3 XFSs on this reply.
In the past, due to the high road tax of $6.1k they found it hard for buyers to stomach. Now with tax rebate (resultant about $3.5k), I think maybe they should bring the XFS in again. Think it will be complimentary to the XF Supercharge.
Hi, can some share with me what the maintenance cost for servicing Jaguar XF? I thought of buying but heard from my few friends told me the servicing is very costly. May I know the servicing for diesel n petrol price is around the same... Thanks for your help. Hope I can be 1 of your member soon...
Bro, you are already one of our members. The question is.... do we have chance to get you as member owning at least 1 Jaguar?
218k less 8k? wasn't it in the newspaper last weekend 189k?
go for the diesel lah. diesel characteristic is perfect for our city driving. very good FC too. main minus is not good to put msia diesel regularly cos their diesel quality is crap. their best also has 10x the sulphur of our diesel.
Ya, no more 189K liao, the sales staff claimed that was only limited to 10 cars and were all snapped up.
They just started to bring in the xj 3.0d so I guess it will be a matter of time. I am driving the 2.2d and I must say its a nice car to drive. The torque is nice. Took it on a KL run and it was great, quiet and comfortable. Up and down with 46l of diesel around 900km. Still had about quarter tank when I got back.
regular servicing for Jaguar diesel cars is at every 26K km or yearly, whichever comes first. So that alone is better than many other brands , savings on time and money.

despite the "official statement", i'm inclined to believe that european 26k and local 26k is of totally different. theirs consist of alot of long smooth driving, ours is alot of start stop, AND our weather's a killer here compared to theirs. our high humidity and near 365 days of temperatures >28-36degC will degrade and breakdown the oil pretty darn quick IMO.
I work near Wearnes. Any weekday lunch hours I most likely can... Just send me a text or call 9 3 8 5 5 9 7 5 and say u r SynAce. Alot of brudders also in-out Wearnes frequently for whatever reasons...
Ya, since after I've visited Wearnes showroom, I paying attention on the road and car park trying to spot the black pussy cat...but usually can see only 1 after 20 BMW...Or maybe more

Have visited the showroom on Sunday (9 Jun) to test drive the XF 2.2D. Agree that the noise in cabin is almost inaudible, but quite noticeable while standing next to the car.
The latest price for it is $218,000, and the sales staff was willing to deduct 8K from the list price. The 2L petrol version is selling at 10K more...
Have also enquired about the leasing rates - $3,900 & $3,800 for 2 yrs & 3 yrs lease respectively.
Did not commit as I would like to monitor the COE trend down the road, still feeling the COE will be lower than current levels in months to come.

Does anyone here knows what is the latest retail price of XF 2.2? I booked mine at 218k on the Saturday that haze hit the highest PSI level, paid the deposit but can only collect my new cat at the end of aug.
strange .. i booked one last weekend, and was told I could get it end july (that's if they manage to get the COE for me tomorrow)
I booked a black with black leather seats one, SC said it is scheduled to arrive in SG on 17 Aug. did u got yours at the same price as me?

depends on color choice bro. :) if they have it ex-stock, then very fast, get COE, paperwork, 2-3 weeks can get car liao. if not, then gotta wait for shipment arrive.
ah.. forgot about that. in which case he must have gone for a unique color or indent some additional stuff that's not factory fitted, such as sunroof.. hehe.. or maybe we get to see a first wagon? I always like wagon.. would have got one if not for the indent and most critically the price
Since foum guide discourages publishing purchase price i shall only post ballpark figure 220k< x >230k COE $89k open cat OMV54k
18in upgraded Lyra alloy rims with PZero tires 245/45/R18 Dimondbrite sealant already done, warranty from UK back and rear side windows 3M tint satnav jaguar 400w audio (next upgrade would have been the BW system costing more $$$) premium luxury leather +wood grain choices 1st year road tax FOC worth 4k (after CEVS kicked in in Jan 2013, balance credited to my car acc for next years road tax)
and of course the standard 3M floor mats, fake swarovski key chains and umbrella.

well thats nice... built in june... drop on a ship and sailed here in 2-3weeks, plus ground processing time at the warehouse... you will a happy man soon.
Curiously, for those who are purchasing the new cats (post june), does your XF2.2d come as Standard Premium Luxury (i.e. OEM sound system like mine. ), or does it come with the Meridian sound system / GPS / all the bells and whistles?
I'm trying to see if they are throwing in all these add-ons, given the jump in price to $218K!

since its indent, i think you have more flexibility in the choices of leather and color combi, and other configurastion right?

I'm not sure if I am getting a good deal, mine comes with the Meridian sound system but no satnav!!! No option to add on too no bells no whistles... Not sure if zenkinz has got a better deal than I did.
