No. They will tell u that u didnt request and due to last min, they don't have vehicle for u. The most is give u freelander 2 to drive. The most they give u taxi voucher only.. One way somemore. Bang table if u just got ur new ride.
I wonder ... will the constant start/stop engine increase the wear/tear of the engine? I would imagine the ignition components will be the one affected most, or the technology goes beyond the traditional way of start/stop engine?

Fuel Economy aside, diesels don't like to idle, idling kills diesels engines faster.. not sure about how the constant stop/start will affect other systems though..

eco start/stop fault msg appeared because while i was manoeuvring the car, it sensed low hyd pressure in the brake lines.
thus the eco start/stop cut itself offline as it cannot operate properly without the correct sense from the brake. ie when we stop.
after i got back and shut car down overnight... the fluids all promptly returned to their lines/reservoirs and all temp chokes/blokages/air bubbles cleared, system returned to normal.
advised to not worry but continue to feedback and monitor.
also previously my satnav was acting up abit... after data download... it showed many failed start attempts and fault lies with the HDD failing to start up properly.
a new infotainment HDD has been ordered and when arrives from UK i will have to bring car in for it to be replaced.
