The total cost for my car size was $3k. It took about 3 days, and another half day of corrections a couple of days later to smoothen out some distortions. I chose to use the brushed steel finish to highlight the chrome on my car, but many also choose to Gloss Black wrap their car details. I have had the colour since September 2012.
Please call Kok Wee at Xclusive Design at 98507032 for more details. They open from noon to 8pm I think and are based at 184 Woodlands Industrial Park E5 01-5B.
There are some other things I should highlight.
1. Damage is easily corrected. I re-did a door panel that was damaged by a careless parker for $100 and 15 minutes of work.
2. I have not had stone chips yet and I do drive to Malaysia a lot.
3. I only wash my car once every two weeks. The material appears durable and dirt does not show easily. Soap and water appear to be enough.
4. The Brushed Steel finish is an extremely difficult colour to match. Because the tone of the colour does not match normal painted wheels, I had to change my wheels to the diamond turned Kasugas to match the colour. Even then, it occasionally appears slightly lavender in some types of fluorescent lighting. However there are 4 colours of Brushed Metal finish to choose from 3M: Aluminium, which is whitish, Titanium which is the slightly brownish colour u get on your titanium watches (and I think suits normal painted wheels better), and Black.
5. This Brushed Steel colour needs very aggressive wheels. Maybe something like black painted 19" or 20" wheels. Dark tinted windows may help as well if you have a non-black interior if a non-Titanium colour is chosen. Also my personal opinion is that non-glossy finishes tend to suit angular or deeply creased cars more than curved cars, so XKs may not benefit. I think my XJ is borderline angular, and i'm not sure about XFs.
6. I can help to organise a GP if there is enough interest.
