Recently I was shopping around for Paint Protection Film to protect our ride, especially for those drives up north.
Essentially, these PPF are useful to protect our bonnet, bumper, headlights and side mirrors, A-Pillars from stone chips.
These are some of the brands that I've researched on, and Pros and Cons as follows:-
Oracal Oraguard 270: Carried by Visionworkz (cheapest of the lot, for those who just want an entry level protection film). Bonnet + Bumper + Headlights + Side mirrors: roughly $1k-1.2k
LaminX: Carried by Eurohaus (or mail order from US), highly recommended due to the thickness. Bonnet + Bumper + Headlights + Side mirrors: roughly $1.5k
Xpel: Carried by Rikecool (or mail order from US likewise), one of the best in the market, thickest and will not turn yellow (supposedly). Bonnet + Bumper + Headlights + Side mirrors: roughly $1.8k
3M Ventureshield: Carried by 3M Singapore. Supposedly to be the best of the lot (according to forum reviews), however I called the marketing fellow, the latest batch had been recalled due to some QC issues.
I've yet to install any on mine yet, will give some FR once I do it by end of the month (May).
Hope that helps for those avid drivers who are particular abt their paintwork, wanting to protect them from stonechips.
